Effective Interviewing Skills and Recruitment Strategies
- The Systematic Approach to Obtain the Talent that You Desire
Date: 22nd-23rd December 2008
Venue: Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Employing the right employee is every manager’s dream. But many a time we end up getting the ‘not right’ employee. The big question is why?
The problem could lie in any or all of the various stages of identifying the duties and competencies, the advertising of the vacancy, the preparation for the interview, the actual interview itself or even the final decision in selection.
This narrowly focused programme moves systematically from the various stages to the making of the all important decision to hire the most appropriate candidate. The various practical problems are addressed at every stage.
Objectives
- Identify and write effective job duties and competences.
- Write self-selecting job advertisements.
- Analyse CVs and application forms for greater understanding of the candidate.
- Gain the personal skills necessary to conduct interviews effectively.
- Design appropriate questions for interviews.
- Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of interviews as a selection process.
- Use basic procedures and protocol before, during and after interview.
- Use the appropriate criteria and select suitable employees.
